S.O.O.C. Shot.
This shot was taken in February in front of a window with natural light.... NO FLASH!
Why not get a little critiquing.....It's been a while since I've posted here. I've had a busy summer and have lot's of pictures on my family blog if you want to go check it out too. Thanks to all of you who check here often to see what I do.

Hello, fellow Happy Chaos-er! :)
I love the black background behind that gorgeous red hair. I think you got the exposure/levels just right. My main two issues are: stray hairs and that the camera seemed to focus more on the hair than the eyes resulting in some blur on the face/eyes.
It's impossible to get that sharpness back although I did try to add some sharpness to the eyes. The main thing is to try to put the focus on the eyes when taking the photo so those are nice and sharp.
The hair can be Photoshopped, but it takes awhile. (I notice you did do some adjustments with the hair in your fix.)
Miz Booshay has a daughter with beautiful red hair. (These two could be twins!) She has a fun tutorial on how to take care of those stray hairs. It's very tongue in cheek. (http://thepioneerwoman.com/photography/2008/04/beauty-school-dropout/) Her basic point is that when you have a subject who will actually pose for you, tame those stray hairs before taking the photo. It saves a lot of time in the long run.
My attempts at "fixing" the already beautiful photo are in a post at: http://rileyyearinphotos.blogspot.com/2009/07/i-faces-constructive-feedback-friday.html
Thanks for sharing!
Great photo! The only thing I might have done differently would have been to tilt her more towards the light coming in so that more light fell on her left side of her face (our right). But other than that, it's a great shot!
I love the song that is playing. I think she is very pretty. LOVE her bright blue eyes. I don't know how to tell you what to fix! I love your blog header. So pretty.
This is a gorgeous photo! I love crop, the lighting, and the colors (no suggestions to convert to b+w here!). I think her skin may be a tad too red, but I could be wrong. Other than that, it's a beautiful portrait!
